My dear Freeper friend,
The clue that Dubya's foreign policy is bad for the U.S., Israel, and freedom throughout the world can be found by studying the nations that profit the most from high oil prices. Here are the worldwide rankings of crude production as of 2004:
Saudi Arabia - 10.4 million barrels a day
Russia - 9.3 million per day
Iran - 4.1 million per day
http://www.gravmag.com/...
So these three nations - not exactly at the top of the list of favorite places in Freeperville - produce almost 24 million barrels PER DAY. That's about 9 billion barrels of oil per year, which at the $50 BushCo premium for oil, a direct result the BRILLIANT strategy of fighten' them over there so we wont have to fight `em at the giant Ol' Mother Hubbards' Shoe House in York, equals a whopping $450 BILLION extra dollars this year to the elite autocrats of those three pillars of peace, freedom and liberty among the nations in the world.
You read that right. $450 BILLION FUCKING DOLLARS THIS YEAR TO SAUDI ARABIA, RUSSIA AND IRAN alone. They may hate America, but they LOVE George W. Bush.
The rest of the top ten: US, Mexico, China, Norway, Canada, Venezuela and the UAE - produce less combined than the top three. The next 10 combined - which are all Islamic nations outside of the U.K, Brazil and Angola - produce less than the top three. So it boils down to this: The invasion of Iraq, by dramatically increasing the price of crude oil, has financed the current violence in Israel, economically empowers "Islamo-fascist" (and all other sorts of) dictatorships around the world, AND threatens to bankrupt the United States economically, militarily, and spiritually.
Wile E. Coyote. George Dubya Bush. Suuuper-Geniuses.
I also have to add that beyond the Preznitwits' record as an international war criminal (see Abu Grahib, Guantanamo, etc.), his blanket incompetence as a chief executive (see Katrina, et.al.) and his complete moral bankruptcy as a human being (vetoing federal financing for stem cell research on the grounds that it is "murder" while ordering and paying for the killing of tens of thousands of innocent lives in the nation of Iraq among about a billion other things), George W. Bush DOES NOT ACCEPT THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Did you know that? The American Bar Association condemned the President on this issue this week and your second-favorite Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter is preparing to sue him. Here's an excerpt from an interesting story about it:
Bush has issued at least 750 signing statements during his presidency, reserving the right to revise, interpret or disregard laws on national security and constitutional grounds.
"That non-veto hamstrings Congress because Congress cannot respond to a signing statement," said ABA president Michael Greco. The practice, he added "is harming the separation of powers."
Bush has challenged about 750 statutes passed by Congress, according to numbers compiled by Specter's committee. The ABA estimated Bush has issued signing statements on more than 800 statutes, more than all other presidents combined.
Signing statements have been used by presidents, typically for such purposes as instructing agencies how to execute new laws.
But many of Bush's signing statements serve notice that he believes parts of bills he is signing are unconstitutional or might violate national security.

The Constitution is crystal clear on this. Congress shall pass laws, and the President may sign them or veto them, Judges interpret disputes regarding constituionality. Period, full stop. No other choices legally exist. It's 5th grade civics, at least in the country I grew up in. The Executive branch can PROPOSE legislation - hell, you or I can propose legislation, that's why this is such a great country - but only Congress can turn it into law, and only the Judiciary can interpret the law in cases of dispute. THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH MAY NOT WRITE OR INTERPRET LAWS under our system of government. It's commonly known as the Separation of Powers. You can look it up.
But Dubya says he can "revise, interpret or disregard laws on national security and constitutional grounds." As every single day another billion dollars passes into the hands of the worlds' worst governments. As every single day brave American soldiers are killed and wounded in the ongoing occupation of a nation that never attacked us. As every single day our provocative, pointless presence in Iraq as an invading army inflames sectarian violence and inspires new generations of Jihadists around the world...Boy, you can't fuck things up any worse than that, even in Freeperville.
So Islamo-fascism doesn't scare me. Not a bit. It's the homegrown kind the blind like you are enabling that does.
